この3者は時代の担い手だった。
まず、BEATLS の 「LET IT BE」を全米ヒットチャート1位から
引きずり下ろしたのは、マイケルジャクソンのジャクソン5の
「ABC」(日本では英語のコマーシャルで有名な曲)、
そして、マイケルジャクソンのアルバム「Dangerous」を
ビルボードの1位から引きずり下ろしたのが
ニルバーナの「never mind」だ。
代表曲は「Smells Like Teen Spirit」だ。
そしてマイケルジャクソンがBEALTSの版権の一部を持っているのは
周知の事実だ。
一番年上のBEATLSのリンゴ、ポールが健在なのは皮肉だ。
BEATLSのジョージも死んでしまった。
盟友のクラプトン(3大ギタリスト、愛しのレイラの人=ジョージからの略奪婚の歌)は、
何度も最後だ最後だと言って、日本に来ている。
クラプトンはBEATLSの「while my guitar gently weeps」でもソロを弾いて、
BEATLSとは縁が深い。
自分も何度か見にいったが、まだまだ日本に来そうだ。
