第二期Discovery/Mirage2時代: ある、古参のエロゲプログラマー(エログラマー)の戯れ言

第二期Discovery/Mirage2時代 ― 2009/06/09 00:10

それからまた、半年ぐらい酒漬けの生活をしていたところ
Mirage2の制作のオファーが来た。
Discoveryの企画シナリオの斎藤けん坊氏からであった。
Mirage2は前任者のプログラマーが仕事を投げたからと
言うことだった。

問題は2点、音源ドライバーに前任者が契約していた
PMDを使うか、自分のドライバーのMsDrv4をつかうかだった。
結果は色々揉めたりしてPMDを使うハメになり、
かなり面倒だった事を覚えている。

それと、Mirage2でも斎藤氏のいつもの病気が
(完成体に近い物を作っては壊すいわゆるスクラップ&ビルド)
出ないか、びくびくしていた覚えがある。
その行為は、完璧を求めるが為だろう。

難航したもの、Mirage2は発売され、
その年の売上に多大に貢献した。

Mirage2は同時に256色版を作ったのだが、
そちらにはたしかMsDrv4を使った覚えがある。

256色対応の用のPC-9821が会社から
支給されなかったので、大変だった覚えがある。
色々手探りでやったが、パックドピクセルと言うことで
結局は問題は少なかった。
当時普及していた、io-1024aやメルコのwab系、386P用の
256色モジュールを作成もした。(freeで公開した)
最終的には486GR+メルコのwab系でチェックした。
256モジュールのチェックには色々なBBS
(東京BBS/ZOB/アトランティスネット)の人々に
相当お世話になった。

外注契約なので、基本的にはここまでだったが、
この後、FRONTIER/BLACKPACKAGEと言うブランドを
Discoveryの外注で作らせてもらえる事となった。

前回のトゥインクル退社に関連するが、
出資金は後日、秋氏が自慢のGTOを売って返してくれた。

物には全く固執しない自分だが、荷物の移動の時に、
家族からもらった成人祝いの
万年筆を無くされたときは落胆した。
